About us
“David Academy” is an after school program for K-8th grade students, which offers a diverse curriculum aligned with the Common Core. Our smaller class sizes allow our instructors to have an individual one-on-one teaching basis with every student. Every instructor possesses valuable educational teaching experience. But above all, we have a great passion and love for helping students. Students work on their homework along with their instructor’s lesson plan that includes creative writing, math, reading comprehension, and grammar. Our summer program also offers a rigorous curriculum and a fun educational environment that includes extra-curriculum activities such as art and craft, chess, bakery, and more! We hold our mission here at David Academy with much esteem: the happiness and academic success of every student.
In our creative writing class, students will enhance their creativity through various writing exercises. They’ll learn about different concepts of storytelling, literary elements, and essay writing so that they can put together a cohesively written essay. Students will also expand their vocabulary and improve their grammar.
Today, there are many creative, unique, and easy understanding presentation solution to communicate key ideas to your audience. Our goal is to teach the students to create digital presentations that will help them to engage more with their audience while presenting.
Too much homework? Learn typing to boost your efficiency. Over the course, we will teach you the proper and efficient typing method. Our step by step training program serves you the best learning toward fluent text entry. Our goal is to speed up your typing skill and eventually type as fluently as you speak.
Etiquette makes good first impressions and makes communication clearer on all occasions. Knowing how to behave appropriately in a given situation not only makes you more comfortable but also protects the feelings of others.

COVID update #2
As we all adjust due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), David Academy is working hard to ensure that your child maintains high-quality learning without being slack. Here comes the fourth week since we started online tutoring. We would like to thank those who have participated in this online program. The early bird discount of this program will end before this weekend.

As the situation surrounding COVID‑19 continues to evolve, schools in the district have been closed for many days. The lack of schooling or driven by less schoolwork may lead to slackness of learning for children. David Academy provides your child with online learning material to ensure that their learning is not interrupted during this period, and parents can also keep track of their children's learning progress. If your child needs a teacher's assistance or tutoring, welcome to join our face-to-face online group teaching or one-on-one tutoring.

COVID notice
David Academy supports WVUSD's decision and will work with schools in the district to temporarily suspend classes and work together to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus. The academy will retain the class hours and rights of all students during the suspension period. We look forward to the epidemic halting as soon as possible, and wish everyone a safe and healthy!
